Calcium Supplements

Calcium is an essential element in all marine aquariums.  It is used for important cellular functions as well as building a calcium carbonate skeleton for LPS and SPS coral.  At Salty Dog Coral we recommend keeping your calcium levels between 420 - 450ppm.  The exact concentration of calcium is not near as important as maintaining stability of that concentration.  We recommend regular analysis of the water using a calcium test kit to ensure you calcium concentration stays within an acceptable range.
